College is a very exciting phase in every one's life. New friends, new experiences, new lessons and mature attitudes all sum up one's life in college. That's so New York - Guess what? London-based design-duo, Fanny and Jessy were kind enough to answer my interview questions; meaning that I now have aspiring designer advice, background information and opinions from the duo in hand. I have to admit, despite the fact that I feel somewhat envious of every female out there and a tinge of hatred towards the label, due to the fact that Fanny and Jessy are a womenswear label and not a menswear label, I feel partially proud to announce that this pair h

That's So New YorkThe majority of you may recall my post which introduced a handful of my favorite products from London, United Kingdom-based Eel Skin bag designer, Heidi Mottram, titled Heidi Mottram: Part One of Two a week or so ago; yes, you may have guessed that this is the second part of that same post, yet instead I thought that I would venture a little more in depth in regards to Heidi's background, which I have to admit triggered various feelings of surprise after a first read. As London Fashion Week begins, I can't help but reflect on the absence of a designer who made such a statement in industry that he will be ever-revered and undeniably-missed.

With concepts conjured up from the corners of a mind that most people would find abs

Although a particular scene in the last part of the movie made us gag (don’t worry—we won’t spoil anything), the flick did have a meaningful message: Fashion is universal. And now, the London College of Fashion is showing just that with their Faith and Fashion program that combines the modesty of Muslim dress with a designer’s love for fashion.

Parsons kids are taught to attack the market with buyable wears. Central Saint Martins students are all moody and esoteric. But for sheer creative frenzy, Antwerp Academy has got ‘em beat. Sure, most of the stuff rolled out on its graduate runway this week was unsellable. But if you love the beautiful and bizarre looks that you can actually wear, Antwerp is the grad fashion presentation for you. Here’s our favorite three Antwerp students who we

Newsflash: Your childhood kaleidoscope has resurrected from the crawlspace shaped like a sweater—but don’t be scared. Geometric shapes hit the catwalk, and—when they worked—we squealed like schoo

We’re only a few days into Graduate Fashion Week London 2010, and trends are all over the map. From super girly to super, well, not, graduates are pushing the creative envelope. There’s so much talent on the runway that Alberta Ferretti (this year’s chair of the judging panel) might just have to draw the week’s winning name out of an ultra-fashionable hat.
