Were you thinking what I was thinking when I first saw this collection? Something like "What the hell?" I didn't sugarcoat my surprise when I saw the pieces in this show. So not what I was expecting from YSL. Heidi Slimane knocked it out of the park for Spring 13' so what happened here? I'm all about changing things up but I seriously wondered if he had overindulged in 'spirits' while designing this collection or just had Marc Jacobs circa 1992 on the brain the whole time. Case in point:

Let's start with heels....
Ok, on to the good stuff ;-). My love of Tom Ford for YSL is well known. I die for those collections. Been wondering what to pair with a skirt I have from his Fall 02' collection and I finally came up with something quite perfect - my KiK Vantage 'Skulls'.
KiK Vantage is my dear friend Katrina's line of modern casual separates. In Katrina's words, "KiK is individualism, and it is empowerment. KiK's wearer is confident, carrying with them an open heart and a rock-star
Yeeeesss, we all know what Tom Ford did for Gucci, but a lesser population realizes that his creations for Yves Saint Laurent were just as iconic. The master and the master. Genius combination.
And ending with my favorite from the TF/YSL era. Again, genius!

Crises? What Crisis? My girlfriend's father sent us this photo circulating on the net from the Nikki Beach Restaurant in Saint Tropez, France that was obviously photographed with a cell phone and shared on the internet. What is even more amazing is that it is a lunch bill.
