Every now and then I get sideswiped by labels I commonly just don’t find while thrifting such asBlumarine. These black linen with spandex and jeweled bottoms Blumarineslacks are indeed a very rare occurrence esp. when they are in pristinecondition. Anna Molinari is the creative director for this brand andcreates clothes that are considered to be true cult items. Blumarine isone of Milan’s last holdouts for women who demand full on good timedressing with a cheerful disregard for polite moderation

I love the free-spirited and adventurous looks of the 60s era and what better way than to marry two famous brands of that period Austin Powers and Pucci.

For this photoshoot you can also see we used Carnaby Street in the background, a pyschadelic shopping full of funky boutiques selling Pucci prints and Mary Quant minis.

Fashion Building : The Fashion Building NYC

How does a building owner name a building? More importantly, how is it possible to name your building "The Fashion Building". Does the building actually have to maintain a specific percentage of fashion companies to qualify? Or can the building actually have no fashion companies and still be called the Fashion Building???

Today in New York City, I saw a building with big letters across the side that says, "The Fashion Building". This started me wondering if this is the only building in New York

I can remember every Sunday for church we dressed up, never in blue jeans, tee shirts, tennis shoes or sweatshirts. I mean my parents made us dress

Of all of the recent Fashion Epochs the 50's represented the epitome and apex of femininity. Designers such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Driesvan Noten and Christian Louboutin shoes have become just a teeny-weenybit nostalgic of that era for their Fall-Winter season collections(perhaps inspired by the "Mad Men"TV

Sixty-four percent of American women are over a healthy BMI range, more than one-third are categorized as obese…you’ve heard it all before, and thanks to The New York Times, you’re hearing it again. Sure, Saks Fifth Avenue is saving spots for sizes 14 and up come fall, but is the high-end fashion world really ready to accommodate plus-sized beauties? “Organic,” “naturally sourced,” “hand-dyed,”—these words are no longer selling points for hippies aged
and otherwise. They’re quickly becoming fashion industry buzz words that can change reputations and move units from stores. Environmentally-conscious fashion is leaking into mainstream media
faster than a bamboo shoot grows. Even mainstream television shows like Project Runway are featuring sustainable, ethical fashions. Talk about leading by example!

As you may have noticed, we believe that the best way to start in this little industry of ours is interning for a great company. Hell, we post every good internship we find as soon as we can. But it’s not all wine and roses. Interns often endure long hours, grueling pressure, and mundane tasks—and all of this without pay. The life as an intern, especially in the fashion industry, is far from the glamorous world
of the glossy magazines and runways. Yet, many young hopefuls would do anything to ge

In our experience, there are at least four different types of Sephora shoppers: the beauty guru spewing words like “consistency” and “pigmentation” at the sales clerk; the confused tourist buying
everything in sight; the skeptic complaining about the prices under her breath. Today’s target, however, is the monochromatic shopper. She’s usually in the early teens (just being introduced to makeup) or in the later years (with her daily makeup routine down to a science). These particular clients’ lip
