CMH Fashion Week Finale Show 2014.

Saturday. October 18th, 2014. The Columbus Anthenaum.
The day that's been in the making since LAST October. As Style Director, the day that is a mix of nerves, anticipation and excitement.....And it was all worth it! With Project Runway's Althea Harper as the headliner and 10 exceptionally talented local designers all showing back to back, it was one phenomenal night.

Paris Couture Week kicked off last night and it all started with Donatella Versace's signature tribute to The Goddess. Atelier Versace Spring Summer 2014 Couture collection was breath taking. Lady Gaga is currently the face of Versace's ad campaign so it was not surprise to see her make her grand entrance at the show wearing a black hooded gown from next season's collection. Will an Eco-Fashionista Win Project Runway Again?

The eighth season of Project Runway has just gotten underway. Making some waves this go around is Gretchen Jones, a green clothing designer from Portland, Oregon.

You may recall that back in season five, eco-fashionista Leanne Marshall was crowned queen of the catwalk. After the show, Leanne has continued to work as a eco-fashion designers. From what we could find, Leanne's making handmade dresses and selling them on
Etsy, but her garments haven't exactly changed the fashion world.

“Organic,” “naturally sourced,” “hand-dyed,”—these words are no longer selling points for hippies aged
and otherwise. They’re quickly becoming fashion industry buzz words that can change reputations and move units from stores. Environmentally-conscious fashion is leaking into mainstream media
faster than a bamboo shoot grows. Even mainstream television shows like Project Runway are featuring sustainable, ethical fashions. Talk about leading by example!
