Tunic Tales.

On the rare day I have free time, I enjoy browsing local thrift stores. The day I found this tunic was a good day! I've been a long time thrifter and people are genuinely surprised when they compliment something I'm wearing and tell them I found it thrifting. Gone are the days of grandma's stiff starched Poly & her sister Ester (my terms for polyester ;-). Now, if you know where to look, you can find some gems.

This Saturday I attended the invite only Marmi Bloggers Breakfast at Easton Town Center. It was a fun event as I met several local bloggers that I'd met on social media but never in person. (Are you too finding that's quite common these days?) We chatted, we ate, had our morning coffee and of course checked out the finds in the store. If you haven't been, its definitely worth checking out as they have some great pieces there.

I couldn't resist picking up Rachel Zoe's new book yesterday and I have to say, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. As opposed to a focus on the red carpet as in her first book, 'Style A to Zoe', 'Living in Style' covers Rachel's style go-to's, style tips and lifestyle, the living in style lifestyle.....I would expect nothing less from one of my favorite stylists (who also shares the same birthday as me.... and an equal love of Chanel). :-)

I've been told (and I've said it many times myself), I should have been born in a different decade so I could have lived my adult life in the 70's.

One of my fashion greats of that decade was Stevie Nicks. To be honest, her style today still inspires me. Her style transcends decades.

An icon who made her own style and didn't care what anyone thought of it then or now, Stevie your my girl!

I Instagramed these boots the other day having no idea what I'd wear with them. They came to me by way of one of my 24Seven Couture consignors who simply didn't want them anymore. I just thought they were cool so when she offered them to me I said yes. They're by Ariat. Fatbaby (love that name) originals. I adore the embroidery and detail in the leather too!

Who'd a thunk it? Me, in cowboy boots. Ha!

2013 CMH Fashion Week designer, entrepreneur and friend , Damien Sheppard of Manufactured Products custom designed this ensemble for me. He had originally designed this for his male clientele only so it took a little convincing for him to design this for me.

The denim side zip pants are a new fave of mine.

Ah, that time of year again. Again. I was hoping the extreme cold was over but no such luck. Well, just roll with it.

I'd been searching high and low for a fur sweatshirt, pullover, sweater thing and last week I found it at Banana Republic. I love this thing although the husband thinks its one of the strangest garments he's ever seen. It's not a coat but a top.

Less than a week ago (yes I'm hanging on to a day), I was in Charleston, SC for some needed relaxation and culture. (Everybody needs a bit of culture in their life ;-).

Love this city! From the food (truly good food has a of sucking you in doesn't it?), of course the fashion, yes these people has style! To my favorite, visiting Boone Plantation, thank you Charleston for a great Southern welcome and time!

Last Thursday I was an invited guest of The Limited to chat fashion with Stylist Stacy London. And she's a hoot! Loved talking to her and especially loved that she loved my vintage tiger broach. I adore another who has an affinity for vintage jewels :-)

Last night I was the guest of J. Crew at Easton Town Center for 'Style Sessions.' It was a chance to preview the new holiday collection and of course shop. (When have I ever turned down an opportunity to do the later? Never.) My friend Jovanna, who also makes some pretty fab handbags for her line Tohni Bekka was there to play with me as well.
