Urban (142)

As the seasons change, people tend to head out to buy new clothes that fit with the latest urban trends and fashions. The stores are crowded, merchandise quickly sells out, and popular items can be expensive as merchants inflate prices due to growing demand. For these reasons and more, oftentimes a person is forced to go home empty-handed in a situation like this. But clothing shopping doesn’t have to be this way; with the growing use and popularity of the internet, shopping online at a store li

Celeb Designers

There are more and more celebrities becoming fashion designers these days and are bringing the urban clothing fashion scene into the limelight. Here is a low down of my favourites.

Victoria Beckham - dVb

Even though Victoria Beckham may have become known for her signing career in the Spice Girls, she has really achieved a higher level of recognition as an international style icon. She made a guest appearance on the catwalk for Maria Grachvogel in 2000, marking her debut as a model at London Fashio

-Never Mind-

That's So New YorkDespite the fact that I currently have an interview with Finnish designer, Daniel Palillo in my mitts waiting for me to press that publish button, I feel that it may have seemed a little odd if I had posted an interview with a designer before introducing you all to that said designer. The reason behind my decision is primarily due to the fact that Daniel Palillo is still what you may consider to be anacquired taste when it comes to the wear ability of a number of his garment

"I like you so much better when you're naked"

That's So New YorkIt's very rare that I use video as a way displaying an entire collection or campaign, yet when it comes to Blood Is The New Black and there creative aesthetic, it would nothing but a shame to waste a admirable look book video and throw images in its place. The Blood Is The New Black Fall 2011 video presents us with just a handful of the prints which Blood Is The New Black will be stocking over the course of the next two to three months. As always with BITNB, the video is ext

'I Love Ugly' By Valentin Ozich

That's So New YorkDespite the fact that it may seem like I spend my days sitting here searching through a ridiculous amount of online-stores and designer profiles in an attempt to find a brand which I could happily label "the next big thing" (and I won't deny that yes, a huge percentage of my week, month and year has been taken up by this activity alone), I seem to be constantly posting about Women's and Unisex labels, in addition to a topic which I've shied away from yet can relate to the mo

Sunday's Lagniappe - Looking for Spring

Funny how the simplest things make us happy.  Take for example, today the sun came out, the snow has been melting and it was absolutely delicious to wear only a heavy sweater sans hat, scarf and gloves.  Yes, the weather has made me absolutely chipper and thinking of Spring with smiling cream and yellow daffodils, easter egg colored tulips and my favorite, orchid blossoms. Sigh.

For me, and I'm sure for most of you, Spring also means less clothing. No, I'm not talking of joining a nudist colony o

Contributor Yanni D.: Let’s Talk About HATS!

I have a weakness for HATS (among other things). I simply adore them. It is not surprising to find me styling and profiling several days out of the week with my hat choice of the day.

After browsing for a wide-brim hat yesterday, I had to share some of the cute finds…
