Hollywood Spotlight - Trend Alert: Camel

The color Camel is one of Fall's favorite colors right now. It's like wearing brown with a twist (making it less typical and boring).

Here are a few of my camel picks. It can be worn best with neutrals like winter white, black brown, and even gray. You can wear them with other colors as well (like red)...if you're "daring."

“Fashion and trends are depictive of the times that we live. Right now the recession has led designers to make very commercial collections that will sell. My personal style is based on comfort and affordability. My style is kind of bohemian artist. Comfortable clothes are key when you are an artist. I wear clothing that I am not afraid to get dirty. I do a lot of hand dying, and my job requires me to paint, so I don’t want to worry about ruining expensive clothing. I can mark out several materia

NYFW: Billy Reid Spring 2011 Collection

8842808262?profile=original8842808854?profile=original

Billy Reid was one the many designer who open the first day of New York Fashion Week (9 Sept' 2010). Inspired by his hometown Louisiana, this spring collection is all about semi formal /preppy look. Rolled up pants, vintage inspired suspender, classic cardigan, and tennis shoe, it feels like back to college in 50 or 60's with a litte modern twist. Alot of white, gray, brown, and dark blue are the colours that dominate the collection.

Although it's kinda semi formal look, where you can mean busine

“It’s very fashionable to be a designer now. The thing that there are too many fashion blogs made me more aware of what is hip and trendy, and certainly exposed me to high-end brands and designers I probably never would have sought out on my own. At the same time, being critical is a part of my work, so I do have a discerning eye for the things that go too far, or don’t go far enough. There are too mane designers. In that sense, I’ve become a fan of designers that push and challenge themselves.

Kristina Villarini: a personal trend

“I think that trends in life are a lot harder to determine. A trend is something that ultimately goes from novelty or something incredibly personal to something that everyone (or at least the 'seen' people) acquire. Some general fashion trends right now are more tailored clothing and I'm starting to see people less afraid to wear whatever they want, which overall, is more stylish and interesting looking. Personal trends could be the accessories people wear or a certain combination of clothes, ev

Fall 2010 Fashion Trends

The 4 big fashion weeks are opening in less than a month. Before releasing the new collection of all brands, let me conclude the big trends in Fall 2010.

1. Fur

Well, I'm not against the animal fur, but I don't support this idea. Giving an opinion only based on fashion, I would love to have a fluffy fur(even a fake one!) to glam my closet up!

From left: Bottega Veneta, Derek Lam, J. Mendal, Viktor & Rolf

2. Cape

Cape is the must-buy item of this fall! Many celebrities and trendsetters have been alrea

The Hottest Hue

This is a fictional story and is not based on any real life events. This is for amusement only!!!!!!!!!

"The Hottest Hue" By: Kela Norman

"Canary yellow, fuchsia pink, peacock blue, whoa is me!" I said aloud while rummaging through my fabtabulous wardrobe. I was finally asked out on a date, and I didn't have a thing to wear. Well, at least not in those colors. I wanted to look like the star that I AM AND REALLLY standout. With all those other heifers competing for any male's attention, I wanted to

How to Wear the Military Trend

It’s about time to continue talking about the trend of Fall 2010. The third one is military. It is not surprised to see that military is still on trend in fall/winter season, in fact, it has been a few years.

This year when I am talking about military, I have to mention the hottest star recently, Cheryl Cole. Everytime when she sings her number one hit song ‘Fight for this love‘, she must wear the sexy military uniform.

She is sexy, isn’t she? Well, even we don’t have a pretty face like her, neith

Once considered to be the poor cousin of designer jewels, costume jewellery has come a long way.

Advanced technology means that pieces can now glitter and sparkle just as much as their real gem counterparts, often making it difficult to tell to the untrained eye, just what is real and what isn’t – and isn’t guessing half the fun anyway?

But not only that – costume jewellery has in fact become extremely hot property in itself, with even millionairess Nikki Hilton about to launch her own line.

So, re

Hollywood Spotlight: Trend Alert - The Color Green

Are you going green? Maybe you are "environmentally," but the color green is one of fashion's latest trend.

Check out some of my picks below:

Green with envy

Of course, you could wear green with other variations of green (but not to much green, you don't want to look like a giant cucumber), patterns (houndstooth, plaid) neutrals (black, white, brown, beige) and other colors (blue, purple).

So, will you be going green?
