A series  of stores named FAME New York has infringed on True Religion Jeans, (subsidiary of GURU jeans) MEK denim and Miss Me Jeans (a subsidiary of Sweet People Inc.) Nicki Minaj is the Hip Hop Barbie, at least she has marketed herself as one.Mattel owns the Barbie toy brand.  I do not understand how Mattel has not taken legal action against Minaj for trademark infringement.  Where are you Mattel? Nicki Minaj has used the Barbie trademark in jewelry, album design and even artist label. I found absolutely no lawsuit, or legal complaint against Nicki Minaj.

Fendi has been awarded triple damages against Burlington Coat Factory for breach of a 23 year old injunction prohibiting Burlington from selling counterfeit Fendi goods. This ruling puts retailers on notice that they need to take an active role in investigating the source of their goods. They can no longer avoid liability for selling counterfeits by failing to verify the origin and authenticity of the goods received from vendors or they may face a claim of willful blindness.
