Lyle and Scott is gearing up for winter with its Vintage and Heritage collections that boast some nice stocking fillers and accessories to keep your wrapped up in the colder months. Spring is here and it is time to trade that parka in for something lighter!

This half trench/ half moto style jacket from J.Crew is a great option.  It's the contradictions that make it interesting.  Here, the tough shape is combined with the classic khaki of a trench.  Because of the collars volume, wearing it with a slim pant (as seen here) is a great way to play with proportion.

I must say, Oscar night is one night I miss living in LA. Half my friends were either reporting from it or going to it, and though I never did either, we always had some sort of shindig, with food and drinks and lots of turning on the TV early to ooh and hoot at the fashions.
