This little black / white ensemble will have all the upper crust drooling in their salads and that’s just what I want.   I can’t tell you what a huge fan of Gianfranco Ferre I am but I would be in excellent company considering that Oprah was the biggest fan of his there was, well Oprah and Elizabeth Taylor and you can’t top those 2 women.  Formally trained as an architect, Italian designer Gianfranco Ferre launched his 1st signature womenswear collection in ’78.  Known for crisp lines, exact cut

Finding anything from Yohji Yamamoto is rewarding enough let me tell you and its far and few between that I do actually find the Y-3 label in thrift stores.  As I scan the clothes in thrift stores my eyes are always centered on the label, it is the very first thing I see when I thrift, so when I spotted the Y-3 I knew instantly the treasure I had found.  Since 2002, Y-3 has pushed the boundaries of fashion and sport, exploring an intriguing intersection between STYLE & athleticism and initiating

The new scent still lingers in these Marc Jacobs for Bergdorf Goodman slacks I kid you not!  What are the chances of finding brand new Marc Jacobs slacks from BG in a thrift store?  Obviously not very high because I was able to pillage these and walk around with a smile that went from ear to ear for quite some time.  I just kept saying to myself “these are MJ from BG” holy crap….  With his trendsetting vision, Marc Jacobs predicts exactly what women want to wear season after season.  The Parsons

There isn’t 1 thing about this ensemble that I don’t like in fact it’s pretty damn perfect… If I were to guess I would say that this Escada cream jacket is brand new and when I say brand new its because it has that brand new scent ‘Eau de Brand New’ and that’s my favorite scent for the moment.  Since I’ve been a thrifter now for over 28 years I can honestly testify that I run across brand new items on a daily basis and at this point in the game I have to say I’m always pleasantly surprised.  I s

Believe me it isn’t everyday that I find a brand new St John dress but the fact that its a classic LBD raises the bar even higher…  I was blown away when I plucked this St Johnblack knit dress from the compounds of a thrift store and when I saw that it was brand new not only was I blown away but I was in a self induced coma.  In order to stretch her own limited wardrobe budget, Marie St John made her 1st pure wool knit dress on a flatbed knitting machine in 1962.  Her then fiance and salesman Bo

This marks my 2nd Aquascutum raincoat I’ve found in my lifetime within a thrift store.  The first one I found was brand new and had the tags and buttons in the pocket and this raincoat is either nearly new or new.   When I found this Aquascutum raincoat I just fell out because this is a 160 year old English very luxurious brand and you just don’t find it everyday.  This coat fits me like an Hermes glove so I’m keeping it for myself, the other one I gave to Mitch my partner.   Aquascutum is Latin

This posting shows a black silk Lafayette 148 ,with rhinestone pin,  wrap blouse and skinny jeans by J Brand and it also shows just how sexy skinny jeans are.  I am a huge fan of skinny  jeans and I myself wear them, I just wished more men would too.  I’m so over baggy loose fitting jeans that only make your ass look like a kitchen trash can.  Hug the body & embrace what you have is my motto ok I’ll get on this posting..  Chic & modern designs in the most luxurious fabrics define the Lafayette 1

There is nothing about this posting that says that these pieces were microwaved !   Each designer piece from the Ella Moss top to the white Piazza Sempione jacket down to the linen Les Copains slacks has been painstakingly created and not microwaved like some brands.  The detailing of each piece, the cut and construction is immaculately tailored and crafted and that my friends is what sets these brands apart from others. Piazza Sempione , which is 1 of my favorite Italian brands, offers a relaxe

When I reached for this wine colored dress barely hanging on its hanger little did I know that it would have a Norma Kamali label and be just one of the sleekest wrap dresses I’ve seen in awhile.  If you don’t know this by now I’m a huge fan of Norma Kamali and always have been…Norma Kamali, a native New Yorker, graduated from FIT with a degree in fashion illustration.  4 years later she opened a shop and designed for Kamali Ltd for 10 years.  In 1978, after her divorce, she founded OMO (On My O
