For SS2010 the team at Chhaya Couture took their thinking tank out to play and kicked the fashion rulebook out of the park. Three months of serious fashion and fun have resulted in “Folds & Frolic” – the youngest and most inspired collection from the label yet.

Like the likes of Andre Lima and Issey Miyake, for the current collection Chhaya drew inspiration from post-modern origami. Much of “Folds & Frolic” follows the technicalities of the art - numerous folds

Rain on the red carpet was the biggest buzz at Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards and unfortunately it might have lead to some of the stars’ style being washed away.A few gowns were amazing enough to cause a double-take, but overall most of the fashions were pretty but boring or too over-the-top for the masses. A simple thing like changing a dress form can save a lot of money. We changed our form to the Alvanon form recently. They’d been working with old Wolf forms. I recently bought a sequin dress which is really nice.I'm so happy with it 'cause I'm not sure if it's just me, but I've found it hard to get a sequin dress that actually looks nice on?Quite a lot that I have tried on have looked gorgeous on the hanger then when I wear it there's no shape to it at all - it's just flimsy.Perhaps it's the material.
