At this point my new mannequin still doesn’t have a name and I feel really sorry for her.Maybe I should call her Mutt or maybe Stray because if she were ananimal and ran around free without a name that’s what we would callthem….No Mutt & Stray doesn’t sound very STYLISH…. I’ll tell you I was very happy and flattered that I found thewhite cotton Tory Burchtop but I’m going to be honest with you about the Marc Bouwer brownrayon skirt, I literally pissed in my pants ! There I was honest withyou…. I had never found a Marc Bouweritem before so this comes as a news flash “It’s historic”. Anna Torvfrom Fringe wore his gown at the Emmys, Angelina worn one to the Oscarsand the big O worn one of his gowns to host The Emmy’s. He’s big reallybig. As a child, Marc Bouwer was fascinated by the movies and thebeautiful women of Hollywood. Shortly after arriving in NYC, he metfashion legend Halston and you’re going to LOVE this…. What happens nextmay have been Marc’s own first Hollywood moment: “I think you gotsomething, kid!” were Halston’s memorable words after seeing Marc’sportfolio. Halston offered him a job and the young designer’s futurebegan to unfold. Under Halston, Marc refined his skills, becoming amaster draper. The Marc Bouwer Couture collection is cut and made byhand, one to two pieces at a time. I have a huge love and fanfare forHalston so anytime I read a story about this fashion icon I’m allputty. The white cotton Tory Burch top and Marc Bouwer skirt togethergive the feel of comfort and yet sophistication, which is always awinner, you can wear this to any casual event and stand out becausepeople will notice the detailing.
