L.A. fashion designers wanted to showcase their original designs in my book, A City of Angels: The History of Los Angeles, Its Landmarks and Fashions. Your designs will be worn by female models posed in front of L.A. landmarks. The models and landmarks will be photographed separately and composited in post production to create fine art photos for the book.
This project is a joint collaboration of talent to get exposure in the industry. Designers will receive images and a credit line in the book

That's so New York - Despite the fact that patriotism has never been my thing, I won’t deny the fact that I do have a growing respect for the British fashion industry. Admittedly, this growing respect is somewhat of a new thought of mine and yes, you may have guessed that the reason behind this growing respect is Young British Designers – an online boutique which retails collections from both emerging and established British designer talents.
I love the trend of wearing rings on your index finger.
Not just any ring. But big, bold, who-cares-if-it-doesn't-have-a-diamond type of ring.
I want my jewelry to inspire me.
I want my jewelry to serve as an amulet.
But mostly, I want jewelry that reflects my personality, and what's important to me.
David Downton, speaking at F.I.T. yesterday.
