I was about to leave the thrift store because I was there for what seemed to have been eternity and found nothing when all of a sudden I spotted this YSL Rive Gauche blouse… This was the only piece I walked out of the thrift store with and I’ll take that any day of the week… YSLRive Gauche darling now that’s STYLISH if I have to say so. Heidi Slimane, the designer newly installed at the helm of Yves Saint Laurent, who it has emerged is to change the name of the fashion house to Saint Laurent Paris. Did you hear that Yves? The initials YSL, taken from the name of the founding designer who died in 2008, have become a part of the French culture. The new name is a bold move, but Slimane would doubtless point out that bold moves, are in the DNA of the house founded by Saint Laurent. In 1966 Yves Saint Laurent was the first couturier to launch a ready to wear line, a move credited with radicalizing the French fashion industry. In my heart it will forever be YSL sorry Slimane….
