I love finding anything vintage Ungaro and you would have to be living in Bolivia not to know why.  Ungaro’s vintage pieces are highly desirable & collectible.  This 80′s knit form fitting heavy knit fabric dress is as fashionable today as the day it was created.  Let me give you a little run down on The House of Ungaro….  Jeanne Labib-Lamour.  Giles Deacon.  Esteban Cortazar.  Peter Dundas.  Vincent Darre.  Giambattista Valli and not forgetting Estrella Archs & Lindsay Lohan all have passed through the Emanuel Ungaro atelier since the designer’s retirement about 11 years ago.  Some fared better than others, but nothing stuck for very long.  Ungaro in his 80′s heyday was known for flamboyantly feminine designs, often incorporating flowers.  Today the Italian up and comer Fausto Puglisi has his hands at the creative director chair.  I’m praying to the GODS above that this designer will have to be carried out in a pine box at a ripe old age…..  I’m Daniel Troppy your luxury curator dying over the fact that I found this 80′s Ungaro knit dress at a thrift store…..
