What can you get for $10 you ask well how about a vintage Ungaro top and a Adolfo skirt?  You heard me correct $10 and I have 2 fabulous pieces both from the 70′s and both in pristine condition.  This blue rose pattern silk Ungaro blouse makes me want to break out in a Glee style song and dance number… Ungaro went to Paris in 1955 and by 1960 he was chief designer for Balenciaga.  He left Balenciaga in 1964 for a brief stint with Courreges then with only 6 workers opened up his own couture house in 1965.  Pairing this vintage Ungaro blouse with this vintage Adolfo pleated skirt just seemed the right thing to do.  Adolfo began his career in millinery at Bergdorf Goodman in 1948 and in 1962 he started his own millinery house with money he borroed from Bill Blass.  Some of his hats during the early 60′s were designed to accompany the clothing of Norman Norell.  In 1962 he began making clothes and Gloria Vanderbilt became good friends.  What a wild and fabulous life.  Now can you understand why I want to do a song and dance number even though I can’t carry a tune or barely dance???  $10 can bring anyone so much joy but you just have to look for it and when you see it grab it full force. Modernize this ensemble with new YSL shoes and a Lanvin clutch…. Be STYLISH go green.  Daniel your luxury curator!
