Thread Social’s last collection was from Fall 2011 so this lovely piece was created somewhere between 2006 & 2011. Beth Blake and Melissa Akey launched Thread Social in 2006, following the success of their fashion-forward bridal line Tread. A tribute to all things nostalgic and flirty, Thread Social was the New York girl’s go-to design label for the perfect party dress but sadly this party has ended. Beth Blake worked for Chanel and American Vogue, while Melissa Akey was at Barney’s New York…. This is one super cool dress that I had to salvage from the thrift store.
