I saw this St John gold top at the thrift store for something like $2.29 and grabbed it and then I realized that this is going to be my last piece of St John that I ever buy from a thrift store.  Well unless it’s a vintage St John gown or something off the wall chic but I decided no more buying St John knit tops, jackets, pants or skirts anymore.   If I find a vintage 70′s St John gown in great condition for nothing, then hell yeah I’ll buy it but no more pieces from this label.  I kept shopping at the thrift store and found these gorgeous Hussein Chalayan, cotton with metal fabric, slacks that are drop dead diva gorgeous…  It’s very very rare to find Hussein Chalayan in a thrift store and knowing this I grabbed it !  Hussein Chalayan is known for being one of fashion’s most experimental and innovative designers.  Some of his best known designs include a coffee table which turned into a wooden skirt, paper dresses that can be folded into envelopes and looks inspired by the structure of airplanes…  He graduated the same year as Alexander McQueen did at Central Saint Martins.  He’s a genius .. The fabric content is cotton & metal so that should tell you something right there.  He thinks outside the box and that is why I highly respect this artist.  So no more St John but hopefully hello to more Hussein Chalayan !!!!  I’m your luxury curator Daniel Troppy asking you to please recycle all your plastic water bottles…
