When I first spotted this dress and saw the label I had to do a Doubletake.  It isn’t just any old day I score this label at a thrift store so when the opportunity rises I grab it without question.  French designer Catherine Malandrino launched her eponymous womenswear label in 1998.  Blending Parisian flair and New York cool, her colorful collections have been on every single STYLE-setter’s radar since Sex and The City was filmed in her SoHo boutique in 2002.  I love this designer and yet at the same time always disappointed to see her designing and using FUR.  I know it’s a very sad day when a designer feels the need to use FUR in their collections, thinking they are being chic and trendy when in reality they are being old fashioned and so yesterday.  FUR has absolutely no place in our modern day society, it did long ago but thanks to fabulous designer like Stella McCartney today, high end designers don’t really need FUR in their collections to make a statement.  All I can say is thank goodness this dress is made with silk!  I found these gorgeous Richard Tyler linen heels that give this look a fresh modern flair.  Did you know that Richard Tyler designed for Byblos from 1996-1998?  You know I love my Byblos…  Love the look and feel of this ensemble that I scored from the Goodwill.  Yes I can pat my own back….  Stop by Doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!
