Urban, feminine, bold, kittenish, modern, chic, sexy and ever so cool Rebecca Taylor is probably the most famous New Zealand fashion designer that is based in New York City. Her creativity and energy pours into her collections with inspirational references ranging from vintage (LOVE) mod books from the 60′s & 70′s to the words of music, art and entertainment. Speaking of vintage and a blast from the past I’ve just watched Downton Abbey and if you haven’t already seen this series on PBS and you are a fashion lover then you are very naughty. I would watch the film and then pause it so that I could take in all the details of their costumes. When I say R$CH I’m talking R$CH…. these costumes are exquisite. It’s fascinating for me to watch period films because we first hand see how people paid attention to every detail of their appearance. They dressed up just to have tea! Where did those days go? I know I need to focus here…. So by now you know I found this silk layered dress by Rebecca Taylor and then I found this classic LBD by Bebe . 2 very different dresses but none the less dresses. I think it’s time in this country for women to dress just to go to Starbucks for coffee wouldn’t you agree?
