I’m always excited when I’m thrifting and find treasures for me, it’s like a win-win!  I walked in the thrift store and walked out with a Prada t-shirt & Sandy Dalal long sleeve shirt and I couldn’t be more pleased.  The Prada t-shirt graphics are super cool and remind me of the Olympics or some skiing event.  I don’t even ski but who cares it’s Prada and I haven’t the foggiest clue as to when it was made but again who cares…it’s Prada…  Now the item I’m intrigued by is this gorgeous and incredibly well tailored Sandy Dalal shirt.  I love the orange blue combination and the cuffs & collar.  I know or found out little about Sandy Dalal other than he was on the fencing team at Penn and he persuaded his Bombay – born parents to let him use his senior year’s tuition as seed money for a fashion career.  The Council of Fashion Designers of America decided to give him the Perry Ellis Award, Seventh Avenue’s equivalent of the Heisman Trophy.  The company was around from 1997 – 2004 and I can honestly say this man had vision.  Sorry this brand isn’t around anymore because I could easily see me filling up my closet with everything made by Sandy Dalal, of course all from thrift stores, estate sales, yard sales or flea markets because I believe in shopping ‘green’ for all my luxury.  Haven’t your heard ‘green’ is the new black….  Be STYLISH go green.  Daniel your luxury curator!
