This is a joyful yet sad blog post and here is why.  Remember when I did that SPECIAL REPORT about Dawn Kaufman and her striking gold at an estate sale?  Dawn purchased all these fabulous vintage pieces that still has the Neiman Marcus tags on them left over from the 80′s at that estate sale.  Fast forward, I get an email from my ultra stylish friend Nancy telling me that she spotted a huge collection of vintage pieces at a thrift store and I need to stop by and check  it out.  Well thank you Miss Nancy for that heads up because I scored and I scored BIG.  I first noticed the patchwork design on this ultra suede dress and loved that then I spotted the Neiman Marcus tag on it and then it hit me, I noticed the tags from the estate sale!  Yes this gorgeous dress, as well as several other pieces from the same lady and same estate sale, I grabbed and will be blogging about the rest of the pieces later.  I instantly thought of Dawn and called her and said “Dawn I have some good news and some bad news for you…” Dawn is the most amazing human being on the planet and she just said “well I’m so glad you got the rest of them and didn’t spend $500 doing it!”  I’ve said this a million times before “all things get trickled down to a thrift store” and this is no exception.  The items that don’t sell at any yard sale or estate sale normally gets donated to any thrift store…  I’m not saying don’t buy when you see it at an estate sale because that’s  just crazy but if you can gamble and risk it you could get lucky !!!  Mollie Parnis is considered very and I mean very collectible.  In the 80′s her dresses would sell at Neiman Marcus for between $350 to $1,500.   I’m Daniel Troppy your vintage luxury curator!
