My heart sank just a tiny bit when I first spotted this Maria Bianca Nero silk camisole because Iactually thought it might be a Pucci and I love my Pucci now. I wasquite pleased to see this label though, Maria Bianca Nero, because this is my first piece of recycled luxury from this brand andI’m excited. Maria Wojciechowski is a Los Angeles native and growingup she dreamed of actually going into retail. She dreamed of having herown store that dealt with beautiful and precious garments. Shemodeled in New York then went to Paris and then fell in love with Milanso much she lived there for some time. During her modeling days sheworked with architect turned designer Romeo Gigli (LOVE him) andAzzedine Alaia (LOVE him too). The subtle sophistication of thesedesigners greatly inspired Maria and she effortlessly soaked in thebehind the scenes process of creating clothes. She returned back to LAand in 1988 opened her first boutique on Melrose Avenue. She dubbedit “Bianca Nero”, Italian for black and white. I love her story andlove her creations, be sure to click on her link and check out herdesigns. She is carried in Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales so Maria canthrow it down with the best of them….I put this Maria Bianca Nerocamisole with this gorgeous navy Lafayette 148 New York jacket that captures the various shades of blue in the camisole nicely. These striped Michael Korsslacks are the perfect union for this ensemble because the differentshades of brown in the slacks also accentuates the Maria Bianca Nero topperfectly. This complete outfit will transition from day to eveningsmoothly and give the appearance of the woman wearing it that’s she’s incontrol and has no time for silly trends.
