This posting gets me so worked up in that freakish way. I mean I waltzed into the thrift store and first grabbed the Marc by Marc Jacobs top and I’m a big fan of MJ so it’s always a treat when I find this label. I love this quote from MJ from the New York Magazine “I like romantic allusions to the past: what the babysitter wore, what the art teacher wore, what I wore during my experimental days in fashion when I was going to the Mudd Club and wanted to be a New Wave kid but was really a poseur. It’s the awkwardness of posing and feeling like I was in, but I never was in. Awkwardness gives me great comfort.” So just another reason why I admire this designer. Next item I found were these Jil Sander patent shoes that are BRAND NEW, yes ma’am BRAND NEW….. You know I love my Jil Sander. So after I was walking around the thrift store carrying this cute MJ top and these BRAND NEW Jil Sander shoes I said it sure would be nice to find a pair of slacks and I’m ready to receive your gifts ole great GODDESS of the fashion heavens. Ask and you shall receive and receive I did, look at these slate Emporio Armani slacks.
