What are the chances of finding not 1 but 2 heavy hitters within the same thrift store and both from the same color palette? I would have to say slim to none… I rarely find Loro Piana inside a thrift store, I mean rare-ly… The Loro Piana family has been in the textile business for 6 generations. Famed for its meticulous grading of wools, Loro Piana sells its fabric to high end manufacturers, tailors and couturiers such as Brioni, Brooks Brothers and Maggie Norris- makers who sells suits for $10,000 are permitted to sew Loro Piana’s scripted label onto their garments. Expensive doesn’t even begin to describe this brand…. so when you see it in a thrift store you grab it & run… like a smash & grab only kinder and gentler. The other slacks are Carmen Marc Valvo and are made of silk / wool combo. Both of these slacks are shades of brown so it’s odd that I would find both high end labels and both within the family color palette.
