Give me Yohji Yamamoto any day of the week and I’ll kiss the ground you float on… When I saw this pink knit Y-3 Yohji Yamamoto for Adidas inside the Goodwill I almost came unglued.  Since 2002, Y-3 has pushed the boundaries of fashion and sport, exploring an intriguing intersection between STYLE and athleticism and initiating new dialogues between the people on the runway and the players on the field.  Yohji Yamamoto is one of my favorite internationally known Japanese fashion designers th

Linen must be in the air because how else would I explain the fact that I scored these 2 classic linen pieces?  You couldn’t expect you just have to except the gifts from the GODS.  This black linen Carmen Marc Valvo vest is HOT and timeless and not in that order!  Carmen Marc Valvo launched his label in 1989, after working at Nina Ricci as a ready-to-wear designer and after working a while at Dior. He is best known for his evening wear as well as his everyday pieces such as this vest.  Once I h

Voglio andare in Italia e innamorarmi ancora una volta. Translated “I want to go to Italy and fall in love all over again”.  No I don’t know Italian but my mac sure does!  I must be secretly sending out Italian morse code or maybe the Italian GODS are sending me lots of gifts because both items I pillaged are made in Italy and both very big names.  It’s very strange but one can’t question the GODS now can we?  I found this Cosabella camisole  which  was founded in 1983 by Ugo & Valeria Campello

It’s been years since I’ve shampooed my hair and no one would know it… What I mean to say is I do wash my hair but not with shampoo, see I use a mixture of baking soda and water: 1 tablespoon of baking soda to 1 cut water to wash my hair and to rise it I use : 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to 1 cup water.  Both of these are already mixed up in 2 separate big plastic liter bottles in my shower.  It works like a charm and you would think I have the shiniest hair on the planet.  It’s green cl

I’ve found several Velvet by Graham & Spencer dresses before but I have to say this one tops my list for being STYLISH.  I love the balloon effect at the bottom of dress, it just elevates this cotton dress to a whole new level.  It doesn’t surprise me that the 2 lovely ladies (Jenny Graham & Toni Spencer) that design for Velvet know a thing or 2 about STYLE.  This casual comfortable dress can go from daytime to evening by simply throwing on this simple chic whiteMax Mara jacket.  Max Mara is an

I would give anything to know more about David Park because all I know is he’s no longer in production which is such a waste of pure talent.  When I see this label inside a thrift store without hesitation I grab it and thank my lucky stars above.  Believe me when I tell you this because it’s the truth every woman that tries on a David Park SKY dress at my boutique Doubletake Recycled Luxury LOVES it.  He has the knack to make every woman look glamorous and feel like a movie star.  I tried callin

In Texas we would say “this is high cotton” and this black silk with lace Cynthia Rowley gown is indeed high cotton.  Namesake designer Cynthia Rowley famously attempted to launch her fashion career by inviting New York’s most important editors to her first runway show-in her walk up apartment.  None attended, but it didn’t take long for the line of whimsical yet sophisticated dresses and skirts to get attention.  The brand now includes menswear, handbags, eyewear, jewelry, home accessories, cos

These 2 tops need the perfect bottom and have I got the right one just to bad I couldn’t find it inside the thrift store.  Both the red Susana Monaco and the green silk Laundry by Shelli Segal top would look amazing with these Lanvin cotton ankle slacks.  One day these Lanvin slacks WILL end up in a thrift store and I would bet I’ll be right there to scoop the up!  Dressing up for summer should be fun but it should definitely be sexy and these 2 tops can provide you with that.  Looking this STY

Burberry & Romeo Gigli men’s shirts….

I spend all day shopping, looking, hunting for women’s luxury clothing and when I find something as spectacular as these 2 men’s shirts, it makes it all so worth it.  I found this plaid Burberry & the black gingham Romeo Gigli men’s shirts while I was out pillaging for my ladies and they are both for me.  Ladies who read my blog listen up, take some time to shop for your boyfriend, husband, fiance or even your boy toy while your thrifting for yourself.  You will be pleasantly surprised by wha

If this red zip top vest by Carmen Marc Valvo looks familiar it might just be because I found the exact same piece but in black awhile back.  What are the chances of finding the same vest, different color by the same designer???  I know it’s not really that big but I like to toot my horn every now and then !  The thing I love most about thrifting is you have no idea what you’ll find &  from what designer or fashion house.  Thrifting is all about timing it’s about being at the right thrift s

This ensemble is testimonial to just how STYLISH you can be when you shop smart by thrifting.  Not only is thrifting ‘green’ but it’s down right chic.  Talk about STYLE from head to toe it’s this outfit.  The silk top is by DVF and the white slacks are 3.1 Phillip Lim need I say anything else?  CDFA Lifetime Achievement winner DVF is a fashion legend and the embodiment of the glamorous jet-setter.  The Belgian-born designer launched her eponymous NY based label in 1972 and found instant fame wit

This ensemble made up of a Marc Jacobs silk top (size 10) and black slacks by Giorgio Armani (size 6) would have been worthy enough to attend the royal wedding in Monaco !  When you click on and see the photos from that wedding you would swear you were looking at some fashion shoot.  Everyone there looked STYLISH but we wouldn’t expect anything less from this royal family.  Giorgio Armani designed the wedding gown and I have to say it was stunning, my first thought was “I wonder which thrift sto

When I first spotted this dress and saw the label I had to do a Doubletake.  It isn’t just any old day I score this label at a thrift store so when the opportunity rises I grab it without question.  French designer Catherine Malandrino launched her eponymous womenswear label in 1998.  Blending Parisian flair and New York cool, her colorful collections have been on every single STYLE-setter’s radar since Sex and The City was filmed in her SoHo boutique in 2002.  I love this designer and yet at th

This simple LBD by Katayone Adeli is beyond chic it’s downright sinful.  From 1997 until 2003, the Katayone Adeli label was synonymous with flattering, well fitting pants.  These wardrobe basics, along with pieces like slim-fitting leather jacket and quiet, feminine chiffon dress, earned the brand a cult following.  The clothes were available in stores like Barney’s New York and Harvey Nichols and then something went wrong.  In 2003 her business became to popular to keep up, that her still-fledg

If everyone just did simple things daily to help out Mother Nature this planet would naturally be STYLISH.  Simple things like turning off the water while you brush your teeth or shave, that’s not to difficult is it?  We naturally act like there will always be water flowing from the pipes when we turn the faucet but we can’t assume such things.  We waste water in the most horrific ways as an example the amount of water the clothing manufactures use to produce their goods are millions of gallons

This is what I truly love about thrifting and finding beautiful clothes especially when they are this gorgeous and of course made in Italy.  I don’t know why but I think the fashion industry in Italy should hire me as their PR person because as much as I whore them up almost daily you would think they would show me some love.  I found this beautiful pink & white light weight sweater (size Small) by Weekend Max Mara that is a classic.  Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Dolce & Gabbana

It’s like biting into that Godiva truffle and savoring the favor, that’s what its like finding a Tory Burch dress in a thrift store.  Its a very rare occasion to find Tory Burch in a thrift store, most women won’t part with their beloved Tory Burch but today was my lucky day…  Tory Burch offers an holistic lifeSTYLE vision with her eclectic clothing and accessories collection.  Launched in 2004, the namesake line blends timeless design elements with modern fashion sensibilities.  She draws on an

I was blown away when I scored both of these items because I’m a huge fan of Vivienne Tamand of course Guy Laroche and this union is simple chic.  Vivienne Tam was born in China and moved to Hong Kong when she was 3 years old.  Since then, the dynamic combination of cultures in the then British colony has been the essence of her signature East-meets-West STYLE.  This maxi Vivienne Tam dress says “hello there” in the most demure way.  Can you think of a better pair of flats other than these
