This vintage YSL Rive Gauche blouse is really vintage and so spectacular I really don’t have to say much and that would be the first…  Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to launch, in 1966, the modern concept of luxury women’s pret-a-porter, in a collection called Rive Gauche.  It was followed in 1969 by a Rive Gauche men’s ready to wear line.  The YSL Rive Gauche boutiques were soon opened throughout the world, allowing fashion conscious working individuals to wear the YSL designs.

I just have one thing to say and that is thank you CJ for donating your lovely Moschino blouse so that I may gobble it up and blog about it… That was very generous of you and I appreciate that kind of giving…  giving for the selfless act that is until I come pillaging…Love this cream blouse by Moschino, it’s very STYLISH and high glam and will never go out of being in vogue.  I found this lovely brand new Cynthia Steffe skirt that has shades of cream in the skirt pattern so it’s a no-brainer to

This posting is very interesting to me because the first item I found were the black Laundry by Shelli Segal slacks with the peekaboo floral cutouts, click on the image of the photo to see the detail, looked very familiar to me.  I had found these slacks once before and posted my blog about it except the slacks weren’t designed by Laundry the first time but Vivienne Tam….  Yes these slacks are identical to what I had found previously.  Like that famous question what came first the chicken or th

I found this incredibly gorgeous wrap cotton blouse by Neiman Marcus made with handkerchief fabric so it’s soft to the 10th degree.  It ties in the back, click on the photo to see the backside of the blouse, and this top is elegant chic.  Wear this top with anything and you’ll be the ‘star’.  I know both of these slacks are a bit on the ‘spring / summer’ side of life but when the universe opens its loving arms to you and gives you slacks by Womyn & Ferragamo you just have to accept your fate and

All this ensemble needs is your little Jil Sander black jacket and you are good to go.  I always like it when I find City DKNY and this blue top with the velvet trim at bottom is shi shi.  On the bottom of this City DKNY top there are pull tags that allow you to tighten or loosen the waistband, it’s those little touches that make Donna Karen so shi shi.  Speaking of glam I found this Trina Turk striped skirt that looks fantastic with the City DKNY top.  These Elizabeth and James booties add tha

Its interesting how things happen in life….  I had found this gorgeous silver baby doll cut Micheal Kors jacket and gushed over the color with my new friend HollyBeth who just happens to be 1 of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.  Yes I use her products and LOVE them because first of all they are organic and secondly they work!  She took me out for homemade hot cocoa and she mentioned that she was going to go get some silver ribbon for some packages and I said “silver ribbon is STYLISH”.  So s

I always get excited when I find a brand for the first time, it’s like going on a blind date with that racing heartbeat…  I found this brand new Gabriele Strehle white camisole originally it was from Bloomingdale’s and then it trickled down to  Marshalls.  The original price tag from Bloomingdale’s was $395… I love how you are able to see this item that originated out of Bloomingdale’s then had a layover at Marshalls and then the final destination,  your local thrift store! The work of Gabriele

This posting is about how 3 different skirts by 3 different designers can look so STYLISH with 1 Michael Stars t-shirt.  Nanette Lepore, Theory & Cynthia Steffe designed each one of these skirts and each one has a unique cut and fit.  The Nantette Lepore skirt with flower appliques and sequins is hip and chic.  The Theory skirt is streamline and minimal which always works ,think Jil Sander,  and then the Cynthia Steffe with pink flowers and velvet trim work is just so Cynthia Steffe beautiful.

Putting this ensemble together was like going to a Cirque du Soleil performance – exhilarating.  How lucky was I that I not only found 1 Jil Sander item but 2?  Love Jil Sander, always have – always will… this brand is just like Piazza Sempione to me, it only gets better with age.   The black linen Jil Sander top is gorgeous and timeless and the Jil Sander khaki skirt is gorgeous and timeless, in other words you can’t fail by having  Jil Sander in your closet.  If that excitement didn’t do me i

Is there such a thing as overindulging one’s self??  I sure hope not because if we can’t indulge ourselves here and there then why get out of bed???  With this blog posting I will indulge my clients in chic luxury with this DVF top and silk Akris skirt.  Each time I find a DVF I can’t help but wonder how it got there and who gave up a DVF???  I know women that have their original DVF wrap dress from the 70′s and cherish it even more today so how a DVF item lands in the clutches of a thrift stor

Dina Bar-El & Vince hook way up…

I have never found anything by Dina Bar-El until now and I think the wait was so worth it.  This long gray knit wool dress by Dina Bar-El hugs the body like an Hermes glove.  Dina founded her first design company in 1974.  As a former model, Dina makes it her business to know her customer and understand the sexy curves of a women’s body.  Dina Bar-El dresses continue to grace the red carpet on numerous celebrities.  She began designing t-shirts from her living room, forming an enterprise that q

Finding Robert Graham is like biting into that Godiva and not knowing or caring whats inside… Its all yummy.  I love this white eyelet fabric Robert Graham button up blouse and all the detailing, but then again the detailing is what sets a Robert Graham shirt apart from others.  It’s all about the attention to details and with every Graham the interior lining on the collar and cuffs are different patterns which takes an ordinary shirt / blouse and makes it extraordinary.  Since 2001, Robert Gra

WOW this posting has an all star punch and I like my punch… This retro influenced Nicole Miller dress is so sassy it’s priceless.  Love Nicole Miller and everything she touches and this dress is something I could see Goldie Hawn wear.  Love the color combination and pattern, to me this dress has that 1-2 punch.  Next dress is by Ella Moss and it’s so soft, like all her clothes, I have to stop brushing my face up against the fabric…. Pamella Protzel Scott is hip, quirky and yes fashionable and i

If there is 1 thing I love more than finding a new item in a thrift store e.g. Cynthia Steffe black top,  it’s a vintage couture Givenchy skirt.  I wouldn’t kick either of them to the curb especially anything vintage Givenchy but lets talk about the top…This is a simple black knit Cynthia Steffe top can be worn with a camisole, tank or tube top…love the diversity.  Now for the fun lets talk about the vintage Givenchy wool skirt..  Riccardo Tisci’s Givenchy is hot.  So hot, few can resist his go

Mason black dress & Theory brown dress…

I love this black dress by Mason so much not just because it reminds me of what Mrs Roper wore on Three’s Company..know what I’m saying…. Somethings are just priceless and this dress is one of them….  It also reminds me of something Diana Ross would have worn in the early 80′s while out at Studio 54…. Michelle Mason was born in Korea and graduated from California State University and trained under Richard Tyler. Creating silhouettes, which are more youthful and progressive, yet maintaining the

These 2 St John tops are obviously from the same owner because they are the same size and both had been lovely taken care of, and who knows maybe Kate Winslet donated them and it was just my lucky day…  I’m not kidding when I tell you this but both tops were side by side and when I plucked the first one out from the rack I smiled and when I plucked the second one out I threw my hands up and say thank you… Pink and black are both classic and timeless colors that when added to your wardrobe only

This posting is about 3 American designers that have all cranked up the WOW factor….  My first wow dress is by Michael Kors, its gray with white trim, silk & sleeveless and makes you smile when you see it.  I have no idea what is left for me or anyone to say about the talented Kors except that thank goodness American has this shiny example of good taste.  The 2nd wow dress is by Ralph Lauren and yes I have a weakness for paisley… Paisley is just like the houndstooth print, it NEVER goes out of

WHAM is the word I’m using to describe both of these items because both of them were brand new….WHAMand it feels so good…. I love finding brand new items in a thriftstore, love it…its what I live for daily and in this case just look atthese labels…I found this brand new red silk top by Miguelina, still with tags, and was quite pleased.  It can be said that an aprofound sense of STYLE has always been innate in Miguelina Gambaccini. In 1997 when the designer first launched her collection of chic a
