This would be my first Zandra Rhodes item I’ve found so that sound you just heard was my cherry going pop!  I love this silk 70′s dress with an elastic waistband and pockets by one of England’s finest fashion designers.  The price tag of $400 is what Henri Bendel sold it for when they used to have a vintage luxury boutique inside their store.  I love this quote from Zandra Rhodes “I am tired of good taste, I want to do everything wrong and get a result that is of value and valid as well.”  While

Sarah Pacini + Shamask = CHIC

I loved finding the Sarah Pacini piece but when I found the Shamask piece good god almighty I thought I had won the power ball.  Sarah Pacini launched over 20 years ago in Belgium, and has since become an international brand.  I have to say whenever I read about a designer from Belgium I get electrified.  The Belgians know all there is to know about fabric, construction & draping.  This Sarah Pacini piece is heavenly.  Now what is out of this world is this Shamask jacket.  Ronaldus Shamask was b

Escada yellow dress with pockets…

I know this dress isn’t a vintage dress but it’s still a fun and campy one.  What woman doesn’t love a dress with pockets????  If I were a designer every dress I designed would have pockets, were else are you going to hide your stash???  I found this pink belt too that just says on the buckle ‘made in Germany’ so you know I grabbed it too…  I love yellow and pink combo, it’s very uplifting and yellow is a powerful color.  Now it’s time for me to dig for something vintage so until tomorrow you ke

Emilio Pucci men’s dress shirt for ME….

You know I’ve been very lucky in my life with finding several pieces of vintage Pucci but they’ve always been for the women.  Well all that changed the day I found this vintage 70s Emilio Pucci dress shirt in my exact size!  Not a shirt that is larger but my exact size….  When I get up to the counter to pay for the item the woman looked at the color tag and say “it’s half off today”…..  I almost crapped the biggest pile in my pants right on the spot.  Wouldn’t you have?  I’m thinking you would h

I’m always telling people you have to look everywhere and sometimes even under a rock to find a vintage treasure.  As you know I look everywhere for my pieces: thrift stores, consignment shops, flea markets, yard sales, estate sales, clothing outlet places and even online.  I saw this vintage Pierre Balmain online at Etsy and no it wasn’t what I normally pay for my pieces but sometimes you have to go outside your sand box.  I loved the geometric pattern the second my eyes saw it and of course th

I think somewhere back at the thrift store is where I left my jaw.  When I saw the Chloe label I had to do a DOUBLETAKE.  I have found Chloe in the past but it’s truly a rare event but it was my lucky day.  Chloe is a high quality ready to wear company that was started in France in 1952 by Jacques Lenoir & Gaby Aghion.  The fashions are simple fluid and elegant lingerie style in pastel colors.  Karl Lagerfeld designed for them from 1965 to 1983.  Martin Sitbon was there from 1987 to 1991.  Then

I love this dress on every damn level but what really sold me are the pockets.  I love finding dresses in the thrift stores that have pockets because not only are they just practical but STYLISH.  Who doesn’t need a place to put their hands in and strike that pose?  Tara Jarmonis just so damn French I could just eat everything she serves up.  I think if you are going to jump on this fast moving sustainable lifeSTYLE movement what better shoes to pair this Tara Jarmon dress with than these Chloe
