I remember clearly the day and what I was doing when I found my first Dries Van Noten item, I was thrifting with my friends Sloan & Umie, it was a rainy Friday afternoon…. Finding a Dries Van Noten item is extremely memorable to say the least.  So this is my second item by this Belgian designer and you should have seen just how wide my eyes got when I spotted the label… Oh honey…. Born in Antwerp DVN (if Diane Von Furstenberg can have initials so can Noten) is the 3rd generation in a family of tailors. As a boy, he went with his father to see the shows in Mian, Dusseldorf & Paris where he learnt all about the commercial and technical side of the profession.  After graduating, DVN continued to freelance before going onto producing his own collection of blazers, shirts & trousers.  Its been no stopping this genius.  I know I need to get to the Jenne Maag blouse but I really love DVN…. ok I found this gorgeous striped Jenne Maag blouse and think its looks stellar with the slacks…. On Jenne Maag‘s website the last collection to be featured is the Spring 2008 so that tells me that it’s not a very active site which is a pity because Jenne Maag is a fabuloso designer.  When I see her items I grab them because I know they are made to perfection.  This outfit is a very shi shi ensemble, it could throw down with the best of them.  Stop by doubletake boutique next time you’re in Atlanta and follow me on Twitter & Facebook and enjoy my YouTube channel.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!
