What I love about James Perse is the fact that design and good taste run through his veins as the son of Maxfield’s Tommy Perse, designer James Perse’s fashion education started early.  Inspiration comes from his West coast lifeSTYLE and early memories spent between his father’s LA boutique and on the beach.  Let me just quote what the NYTimes wrote “There are destination stores that you must make pilgrimages to just for your edification.  You go for the same reason you go to great little museums or unique homes: to bask in an expansive articulation of a particular STYLE, a unified curatorial vision”.  The NYTimes was talking about Jame Perse father’s Maxfield boutique in LA.  Tommy Perse, is legendary for being the 1st LA retailer to embrace the color black, and cutting edge looks from Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garcons, back in the 80′s.  Maxfield is pure luxury to say the least and that’s what I mean when I say James Perse has that DNA code running through his veins.  This 2 piece James Perse blouse and cotton skirt not only match but came right out from the same thrift store!  I know it’s luck…  Not only am I a huge fan of James Perse but also of the brand Vince and when I found this cashmere dress by Vince who cares what season we’re in at the moment, it’s a Vince cashmere dress!  All 3 pieces came directly out of the same thrift store and each piece is in pristine condition.  Next time your thrifting keep your eyes peeled for James Perse & Vince and you’ll thank me later.  Stop by doubletake recycled luxury boutique my social media driven destination in Atlanta.  Toodles for now.  Daniel your luxury curator!
