I think I was dreaming when I spotted this vintage 80′s Issey Miyake blouse in the thrift store.  This is is my second find from Issey Miyake and the first one was a man’s thin gray sweater which I love and adore.  Finding Issey Miyake in a thrift store is like ordering your favorite dessert and it comes with your favorite flavor of ice cream and you’re drinking your favorite coffee beverage… see that’s living right..  Issey Miyake left Toyko in 1964 and headed to Paris and a career in fashion.  He worked for Guy Laroche and then for Givenchy in the late 60′s.  In 69 he went to NYC where he worked for Geoffrey Beene.  In 1970 Miyake returned to Toyko and formed Miyake Design Studio.  He showed his first collection the following year and 2 years later he showed his collection in Paris for the first time.  Yoshiyuki Miyamae is the creative director of the label now that started with spring / summer 2012 collection.  I carried this blouse with me tightly as I walked around the thrift store and headed over to the belts and scarves area when I scored not 1 but 2 Halston scarves.  I tell you I couldn’t make this stuff up even if I tried.  I walked out from the thrift store with an Issey Miyake blouse and 2 Halston scarves so for me that was a very good day….  Be STYLISH go green.  Daniel your luxury curator!
