I will never pass on not buying Halston and most definitely not pass on buying Halston III.  Halston III was debuted in stores in 1983 for JCPenny, it was the first truly masstige (is a marketing term meaning downward brand extension) fashion line, a mass market fashion line developed by an extremely high brow fashion designer, was born.  Remember the Halston brand was an elite brand that was sold at Bergdorf Goodman and when he introduced the Halston III into JCPenny stores like Bergdorf Goodman stopped selling his items.  This was so before Target or K-Mart when designers could develop a lower end line to reach the masses, so in hindsight Roy Halston was decades ahead of that curb.  So yes I saw this navy Halston III blouse and snagged it without hesitation.  The Paloma Picasso belt is another fascination story.  I was thrifting with my STYLISH friend Nancy when I had found this gorgeous Scassi, sexy as hell, dress and she had found this navy Paloma Picasso kiss belt and we exchanged our treasures.  I love Paloma Picasso so you know I was happy and so was Nancy with her Scassi dress so it was win win.  Paloma Picasso is one of the world’s most acclaimed jewelry designers and a fashion icon.  She is celebrated for creating jewelry of generous size and extraordinary beauty, inspired by her travels and the exotic places she called home.  She has an entire line at Tiffany’s and each piece as yummy as a piece of Godiva. Sometimes it pays to have a buddy with you while you’re thrifting and in this case I would have to totally agree with myself!  Keep keeping it “green” because I’m your luxury curator and I care about this planet…
