I love anything vintage Geoffrey Beene, just ask anyone, because he was one of America’s greatest fashion designers. He was born Samuel Albert Bozeman, Jr in Haynesville Louisiana and studied fashion in New York & Paris. He was noted for his unconventional design, but his simple style and muted colors won him 8 Coty Awards before he death in 2004. The Beene Bag label is from the 70′s and of course so are shape of the collar! I love everything about this red silk Beene vintage dress with pockets. I will modernize it with the perfect pair of heels & belt for any of my clients. I believe he started his company in 1963 so my next mission is to find some fantastic gown from the 60′s…..
