Eugenia Shabaeva: In fact, it is so. I see two kinds of love for fashion. The first is fanatical, when person doesn`t see anything, he sees just fashion. The second is the intellect love, when you really appreciate fashion. Vogue (or any other magazine of that level) is not The Bible, but The Book of Fashion. In my life photography did not begin from fashion magazines. But later thanks to them I understood what I need and want, where I should go.

Eugenia Shabaeva: The difference between them is in the perception of picture. Each of them has different approaches for compositional decision of an image and for choice of the model. Eventually, something in the shooting process will be the same for them. After all, female-photographer and male-photographer are doing one thing – photography!

Eugenia Shabaeva: As a rule, I think about the scene selection before shooting. This is a result of my education. I try to meet with model, to understand what we can achieve working together. I think over all the possible looks, try to catch all the nuances. Of course, I improvise, but I try to have some groundwork before doing the shooting. Sometimes I have shots which were drawn before, sometimes my shots are unexpected. I do my work with feelings and this is important. I like to shoot fashion, portrait and sometimes artistic reportage. Photography fascinates me, I don`t take  “photos as mementos”. I shoot what I like: sky, streets, pigeons, beautiful places, situations and moments. 

Eugenia Shabaeva: Photoflash, lens, camera. In truth, it is not so important. Frequently masterpieces were shot without good lens or camera. The photographer is the most priority. A photographer can make a model from anyone. By his instructions on the poses and emotions, advantageous angles, eventually by the using Photoshop.
