This black lace Escada skirt with the cobalt blue lining has to be 1 of the most beautiful skirts I have ever seen by Escada. My mouth just dropped when I scored this skirt because immediately I saw the beauty in the details and construction. Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders brings a breath of fresh air to this fashion house. Saunders, who in 2007 was nominated by Elle Designer of the Year, will present a 20 piece collection as part of the label’s Resort Line in London & Paris next June 2011. “The line is about a cool femininity, relaxed chic, modern shapes and colors” said Saunders to WWD. If his name sounds familiar you might have seen his line in Target or Top Shop. With this black velvet top by Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) I overheard the Escada lace skirt say “you complete me”! I would have to agree… If this were a boxing match it would have been over in round 1.
