Resist Printing : Apparel Printing Definitions Series 5 of 7

Resist Printing : fabric is "dyed" with a tannin-mordant paste and then the desired areas to be used fro the motif are stripped of the covering, leaving the areas white. the fabric is then piece-dyed and some or all of the white areas are colored by this direct method of printing. The idea behind the Fashion Industry Network is to help educate one another. Therefore, I thought that I would use the blog feature to provide a few definitions regarding printing.
