Discharge or Extract Printing : used to obtain medium-to-dark colored fabrics with white or colored motifs. The cloth is first piece dyed and color is then discharged or bleached out in certain areas leaving them white. The cloth is then direct-printed and some or all of the white areas are colored to provide the finished effect. Piece dyed is mentioned above... Piece dyeing is the dyeing of fabric in the cut, bolt or piece form. It follows the weaving of the goods and provides a single color for the material.
