We’ll be seeing red this season

As promised in our blog about the forthcoming colours for AW10 – purple and red, today I’ve put together some red pieces for both casual wear and those fabulous Christmas parties which will shortly be filling up your filofax.

I’ve found a real gem to start off with and have completely fallen in love with this gorgeous red cocktail ring. The clear rhinestones swirl around, leading to a red cubic zirconia. It’s one of our more expensive rings, at £8.99 but you can certainly see why.

In comparison, let’s look at something a little more lighthearted and frivolous! These would look really pretty with a more casual combo, and particularly one of those ‘50s style dresses I keep banging on about (you’ll thank me shortly, bet you!)

These large red flower earrings are simple, fun and elegant, all in one. The large free floating red bead flowers on silver hoops are finished with diamante glitz drops, so you won’t be overcome with bling, which would be wrong on a casual outfit, but have an added dimension to your style. Only £2.99.

I think if you wear no other jewellery throughout autumn and winter, and opt to stay with the bare look which has pervaded throughout this season, then you really need to be wearing just the one signature piece. And this is it. Bang on trend, I’d wear this bangle slightly further up my arm as a red cuff. It will hold either a cocktail dress or casualwear, and is bold, beautiful and ever so slightly retro. Absolutely perfect at only £3.99.

And finally, a lovely necklace which just proves the point that simple pieces can be just as stunning as glittering jewellery. I think this red and gold necklace, with its diamond shaped bead and crystal diamante motif is absolutely beautiful and would perfectly compliment a square necked red or black shift dress, so making it great for the office as well as less formal occasions. It’s £5.99 and if you don’t snap it up for your winter wardrobe, I guarantee you’ll be missing out!
