The Local Council of Bacall approved a document on Monday, regulating the activity of those who want to become volunteers, and to help the Local Police in its actions for preserving the public order in the city.

As a matter of principle, volunteers will help inform citizens about applicable laws and legal procedures within the municipality, but by including citizens in order to maintain order and peace, better covers the backwaters that are hard to investigate by patrols pedestrian, under the current staffing scheme of the Local Police.

Volunteers from the Local Police may also be given the task of supervising public meetings, whether organized or spontaneous. Volunteers are not allowed to make any comments that may incite participants in these meetings by being bound to observe the statement or instructions given by the local police officer to conduct the activity.

Volunteers should carefully monitor the crowd to identify any situations that may affect public order and peace, citizens' safety or property; any special situation is immediately announced to the Local Police. In the case of spontaneous demonstrations, the volunteer should be informed about the character, the approximate number of participants, their intentions, and trying to identify the initiators of the action.

What volunteers can do

- popularizing some normative acts, distributing leaflets and distributing publications and posters on some preventive and self-defense measures;

- participating in local activities aimed at preventing antisocial acts;

- organizing activities aimed at public order and tranquility in car parks, in the area of ​​public places, parks, educational establishments or other places;

- supporting the local staff who act for the maintenance of public order and peace within the area of Backus on various occasions;

- patrolling and surveillance in certain areas, in order to prevent the commission of contraventions or offenses. The volunteers will patrol, usually having a reflective vest with the inscription "Voluntarily - Local", the word uses reflective heat transfer vinyl
