I almost did a back flip when I saw the label inside this sky blue skirt “Ines de la Fressange”…. a back flip & a somersault and here’s why.  Picture this it’s Dallas in 1984 when I read that the young Chanel model Ines de la Fressange was coming to town.  You know I had that circled the date on my calendar, because it was light years before the iPhone, and was so excited about going to the Chanel boutique and meeting Ines de la Fressange.  The day comes and it was a complete zoo at the Chanel boutique, I mean everyone in Dallas showed up to meet her and yes I got to shake her hand.  Ines de la Fressange was the first model to ever sign an exclusive contract with Chanel.  Ok here is her real name: Ines Marie Laetitia Eglantine Isabelle de Seignard de la Fressange, she is a model, aristocrat and was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1998.  I have NEVER seen any Ines de la Fressange pieces in a thrift store until now.  If I had to guess who this skirt once belonged to I would have to say some French woman because most Americans don’t know the name or remember her past.  I most certainly do.  This skirt looks amazing with this modern Theory abstract flower pattern and it looks like it was meant to be together.  Simple chic style is the bargain for today….  Friend me on Facebook & follow me on Twitter…. Stop by Doubletake my boutique in Atlanta and as always be STYLISH go green.  Daniel your luxury curator!
