The "yellow vests" occupied tolls on the A62

Sixty people, all dressed in a yellow vest, met this Sunday between 16:45 and 18 hours at the highway toll (A62) Passage, Lot-et-Garonne. A movement organized via social networks, aimed at educating motorists at the rendezvous set on November 17 against rising fuel prices.

Under the surveillance of the gendarmes, who let them go, the yellow safety vests were placed on both sides of the highway barriers, allowing motorists to leave the A62 without paying their way...

"We are in the middle of a fight for purchasing power," said one of the leaders of the meeting last night, "Road users are heavily taxed, so they do not pay the toll." But the project of this movement is to remind people that we exist and that they must mobilize with us on November 17. That day the gatherings will be numerous in France, and in Lot-et-Garonne, there will be movements in Armanda and Villeneuve-Lot and still close to the highway barriers. It is necessary that the mobilization is important to bend the government on the price of gasoline.

Sunday's rally was pretty good, and many motorists seemed to be part of the cause, with some displaying the same yellow vest on their dashboard or honking it as encouragement. The rally dissipated as night fell, with everyone making an appointment for the much-vaunted November 17th.
