I literally flipped when I saw this label SoCa by St. John,I mean this is a incredible piece. In 2008 St John expanded a line toinclude a young contemporary line called SoCa. Hoping to reach ayounger audience, SoCa offered a casual but not too beachy approach toclothing compared to St. John’s traditional and refined designs. SoCais based on the Southern California lifestyle, but with a sophisticatedurban edge. Retail prices ranged from $195 to $295 for tops and pants. Now the sad thing is that when you go to St. John’s website and type inSoCa it will come up as ‘there are no SoCa products available at thistime.’ From all the designs of SoCa I’ve seen online it would be ashame if St. John stopped manufacturing this line. This abstract top Ifound is made of rayon and spandex so it gives the body a little extraboost of contour. I love that it’s collarless and I love the cut of thesleeves and of course don’t forget that waistband at the bottom, thatjust gives this top a little extra kick in the fashion pants. Horriblemistake if St. John stopped this division. I put this top with thesegorgeous sassy chic Tory Burch navy linen shorts, they are super STYLISH and dashing. I think these Roger Vivierblack patent leather “Hello Coco” flats are just the ticket to pushthis ensemble over the edge. Who doesn’t want to go over the edgetoday? I always feel like I’m on the edge and I’ve grown rathercomfortable there. If there is anything on my blog that you areinterested in please email for price, additional photos andmeasurements.
