I love this entire ensemble from top to bottom, it flows so effortlessly and looks simple chic. I don’t know why I’m going to tell you this but I’m going to fire away. When I was a growing up in south Texas in the 70′s and as hot as it was during the summer time my parents believed in dressing up so therefore my brother Darrell and I had to dress up. I can remember every Sunday for church we dressed up, never in blue jeans, tee shirts, tennis shoes or sweatshirts. I mean my parents made us dress up and look nice and presentable to the world. My dad was a farmer and NEVER wore blue jeans during his entire years of being a farmer, it wasn’t until he retired and became an avid gardener that he started to wear denim. My dad was a STYLISH farmer no doubt and my mom always looked simple and chic and of course with big hair. My parents were adamant about us always having new underwear which to this day I still acknowledge. One thing for sure if I’m injured on the freeway and the 911 people have to save my life by cutting off my pants one thing they won’t see is a pair of ratty underwear on me. So the moral of this long winded story is that I grew up really paying attention to detail and having a huge appreciation for design and quality. I don’t know why I told you this story but it’s an insight into my psyche..I guess because this ensemble looks so nice and has that simple elegance that it took me back. Today not a lot of people actually take the time to pay attention to the details, in fact we have gotten very lazy with our appearance. I put this gorgeous silk tube top by Beth Bowley with this gorgeous striped jacket by Theory with these slacks by Trina Turk. From head to toe this outfit looks like something my mom would have worn, it is clean line – no fuss no frills and above all loaded with STYLE and sophistication. All items on my blog are for sale just contact me and be sure you check out The Thrifters Boutique. Follow me daily on Twitter and friend me on Facebook so we can connect and enjoy my YouTube videos. Toodles for now. Daniel
