That's So New York - Finally, the day I have been aching for over the course of the past week or so has presented itself. As the majority of you will recall, last week I shared part one of Marina's two-part release; that of which she titled "Fear and Loathing". I did also mention that I would of-course be sharing part two as soon as it made its debut; which I'm pretty sure the majority of you would have most probably guessed is right about now (well, yesterday, yet of-course I needed time to pull myself together after both hearing and enjoying part two of the two-part complex that is Electra Heart.)
To confirm, Marina has titled part two of the two-part complex "Radioactive". When Marina released part one of the two-part complex, "Fear and Loathing", she summarized the concept behind each track; telling us that "Electra Heart"embodies the lies, illusions and death of an American Dream; therefore I think it's safe to assume that this track presents the second-part of the Electra Heart complex, focusing primarily on the illusions of the American Dream. I can only assume that is why Marina has incorporated her fictitious, alter-ego corrupt character that is Electra Heart a little more throughout this video, throwing on a blonde wig and juggling a personae just as fictitious as Electra Heart herself. Hm, I have to say, it seems Marina is a little more complex than my initial thoughts had lead me to believe.
(Note: Electra Heart is not an alter-ego as previously suggested, yet simply a voice inside Marina's head; you know, a devil on your shoulder type-thing).
