Fashion In The City

When you think New York, you think fashion capital of the world. So when I first moved here to New York City last year, I had visions of the streets dotted with trendy, stylish people like the ones you see on The Satorialist, Jak and Jil and Street Peeper. But boy was I disappointed! I rarely saw cool street fashion and the general public I saw on the streets were NOT stylish. OK, the fact I live in Financial (aka uncool) District where you get only the corporate types and tourists did not help…

I can't remember the last time I get THIS excited about a piece of news.... not when I saw Nicolas Ghesquière's Resort 2011 collection, not when I received the emailer for Opening Ceremony's sale (ok this came close) and not even the launch of the iPad. But when I read on L2 VOGUE has an iPad app, my heart skipped a beat and then raced a million mile an hour!
