Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying your holidays. It has been great here but a chilly -22. It makes me want to cuddle up by the fire and drink hot cocoa with Baylies all week but instead of packing on calories I best burn some off and get back to work. I was admiring this Christian Dior bag from the ‘Lady Dior’ line. I think the ‘Lady Dior’ line represents some of the most classically feminine bags of all time. The hand stitched quilted pattern on this leather bag is called “cannage stitching” and is a Dior trademark. I think the intricate embroidery pattern is a combination of classic, contemporary and pure elegance. I find the shiny silver hardware and oversized charm compliments the shiny black patent leather of the bag. The rolled handles are designed to be carried on the arm or by hand but Dior also included a removable strap so the bag can be worn on the shoulder making it a very versatile.
I love seeing all of the bags the designers create for the runway show but I think some of them would look out of place in the real world. In my opinion Dior bags are made for real life and the high attention to detail is what makes The House of Dior so fabulously famous.
