Kate Middleton’s most fascinating outfits

The Duchess of Cambridge is a real fashion icon for the modern ladies. She has an amazing style that we have the pleasure to witness and one great thing about the clothes she wears is that some of them can be easily purchased on the high street. Amongst Kate’s favorite brands are Zara, Issa, Reiss, LK Bennet and Whistles. Women are crazy about the clothes she wears. Here is a list of her most popular fashion choices we have witnessed through the years.

Fashion choice #1 – the engagement dress

Kate stunned everybody when she appeared in a fantastic dark blue dress designed by Issa at her engagement announcement. Her dress complemented perfectly the sparkly blue sapphire engagement ring previously worn by Diana. The dress was sold out like hot bread after Kate was seen in it.

Fashion choice #2 – the amazing bridal gown

Ever since the engagement was announced, the whole world started speculating about Kate’s wedding gown. Many were wondering who would be the designer that will have the honor to create the dress that the whole world is expecting to see. On April 29th, 2011 the mystery was solved. Kate appeared on the red carpet wearing a dress designed by Alexander McQueen’s designer Sarah Burton. The amazing ivory gown had very intricate lace details all over and sources close to the Palace have said that Kate was very involved in the whole ‘’create the perfect wedding gown’’ process. Many people have compared it to Grace Kelly’s dress for her wedding with Prince Rainier III.

Fashion choice #3 – Dress Reiss

After the amazing honeymoon on the Seychelles, Kate welcomed Michelle Obama in London who was accompanying the US President during his official visit in the UK. Kate showed off her perfect tan with a bandage dress in beige from Reiss. She accessorized with a small clutch by Anya Hindmarch. The Shola dress was priced at £175 and was completely sold out after Kate’s pictures hit the web. Reiss reported that just 2 minutes after Kate’s pictures were released, 20 dresses were bought which caused their website to overload and crash.

Fashion choice #4 - Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen is Catherine’s most favorite designer and she can be spotted wearing his fantastic designs at many occasions. One such occasion was her appearance at Victoria Barracks to present with medals the Irish Guards. She wore a navy dress and double-breasted coat. She accessorized the outfit wearing a navy hat and a shamrock brooch in gold, which is the symbol of the Irish Guards.

Fashion choice #5 - Mellow yellow

We are used to seeing Kate dressed in neutral or navy colors so people were delighted to see her appear in a bright sunny yellow garment designed by Jenny Packham. She really looked radiant in this fantastic summer dress.

Fashion choice# 6 - The hat with the maple leaf

Most women at Kate’s age usually stay away from flamboyant headwear, but the Duchess is not afraid to experiment with any look. For Canada Day back in 2011, Kate wore an eye catching bright red hat decorated with a maple leaf, which served as respect to the hosting country. The dress she chose for the hat was white and designed by Reiss. She finished off the outfit with red shoes.

Kate has shown the whole world that she can look fantastic regardless of the price tag on the clothes she chooses to wear. She looks equally beautiful in a Zara dress bought from the high street or in a gown especially designed for her by Alexander McQueen.
