God I know some of you are going to hate me for saying this but here it comes “I’m not normally a big fan of Lilly Pulitzer!”There I know it wasn’t easy to hear or actually to say for that matterbut the truth is I’m not a fan of this brand. To preppy for my taste…. Iguess I’ve always found this brand to be a bit on the boring and tiredside of life but these seersucker shorts with the a pink trim are justto lively for words. Lilly Pulitzer was born into socialite family inNew York, her mother was an heir to the Standard Oil fortune.Throughout the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s Lilly’s bright colorful clothes werevery popular (certainly not by me). For some reason I really like theseshorts with the seersucker lime green with white stripes and pinktrim. They are made with cotton and spandex and you know I love myspandex, so maybe that’s it? Certainly I’m not preppy or even preppy atheart so who knows maybe it’s just the fact that these are so well madeand classic??? I’ll never know for sure. I also found this pink poolside skirt made of cotton and lycra by Trina Turk. Doesn’t this skirt look like it was made to just hang out and live next to the pool? It’s so Palm Springsisn’t it? Palm Springs is a fabulous place to visit, so much going onin that town…. I put the shorts and skirt with this teal cotton tanktop by James Perse, who I think is brilliant. I love mixing teal and pink together, talkabout 2 colors that really compliment each other nicely. I guess if Isaw some woman wearing these Lilly Pulitzer shorts with white tennisshoes then I’d probably hurl my lunch but if you put these Adidas Y-3 byYohji Yamamotowedge shoes on, I promise I will keep my lunch!!! Talk about capturingthe future with these shoes, so fantastic I can’t stand up straight. If there is any item you like on my blog please email for price, additional photos and measurements.
