House Of Holland Spring/Summer 2011

That's So New York - The House Of Holland Spring/Summer 2011 collection is everything i look for in a collection, it has a large dab of vintage, a smudge of couture surrounded by a 'Hollywood-Retro' vibe, offering movie star inspired ready-to-wear outfits. All of these designs look like you've let a little kid with the dressing up box, but that is what makes it so fun and quirky. We love the stars, the stripes, the polka dots and the over-the-top floral patterns. Floral is not a favorite of mine, yet where House Of Holland has incorporated in within this collection, it looks fantastic, mixing both drapes and fitted garments. Pleats are a favorite of mine, and House Of Holland has managed to not just pleat the skirts and dresses, yet also the sleeves, a look which i can safely safe works with full potential. I could compare this collection to an artists canvas. The collection is thrown together, creative, inspirational and quirky, something a little less serious is certainly what we needed. House Of Holland, mix-and-match a little bit of everything this season, be fun and quirky with that retro twist when choosing your wardrobe, think kindergarden and them days full of cutting, sticking and painting, that's what we're aim for this spring/summer.
