Per usual, the annual awards show thrown by the Council of Fashion Designers of Amercia at Manhattan’s Lincoln center was a hurricane of glitz, talent, beauty, style, and industry power. Also per usual, our invitation got lost in the mail. Sigh.
Thankfully, as these once-negligible awards rise in esteem with every passing year, corresponding coverage on the Internet gets ever more extensive and breathless. From fresh-from-the-podium interviews with winners (including Christopher Bailey, Marc Jacobs, and Alexander Wang) to detailed red-carpet reportage, the bloggerati kept us in the loop and on the scene, even if we read their dispatches while chomping on Häagen Dazs in our bedclothes last night.
